Tony Green - Funeral Director Hastings District Funerals Port Macquarie

Tony Green joined the funeral industry in March this year, bringing with him many years of experience in customer‑focused leadership roles. Although new to the profession, he felt drawn to funeral service for the opportunity to build a meaningful and rewarding careeR, one where he could support families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

What Tony values most about his role is the ability to make a genuine difference. Helping families feel supported, informed and cared for is something he finds deeply fulfilling. He takes pride in ensuring every detail of a service is thoughtfully arranged, allowing families to honour their loved one in a way that feels personal and respectful.

Outside of work, Tony enjoys long‑distance running, appreciating both the challenge and the quiet moments it brings. He also loves watching his children play sport, especially cricket and soccer. A passionate traveller, Tony has visited Korea eight times and enjoys the culture, lifestyle and food. He speaks a small amount of Korean and continues to learn more with each visit.

Tony loves the Port Macquarie region for its climate and beautiful beaches, where he spends much of his time outdoors.

One of the most memorable services he has been involved in was a tribute for a retired high‑ranking police officer, complete with a police escort and guard of honour.

Tony believes Hastings District Funerals is special because of its nearly 100‑year history of serving the local community, supported by an experienced and caring team dedicated to making a real difference.

The team at Hastings District Funeral & Cremation Service were extremely caring and professional. Krishna and Janice guided us through the process and made dad’s life celebration one he would have been proud of. All of his friends and family in attendance as well as those viewing via livestream commented on what a lovely service it was.
